It seems like best pacer in the world, Jasprit Bumrah has still not regained fitness ahead of the India vs England ODI series, that is scheduled to begin in Nagpur on Feb 6. As per the latest release from the BCCI, the fast bowler did not find a place in the squad, while the original squad announced on Jan 18 did feature him, albeit only for the third ODI.

It is important to note that Jasprit Bumrah had suffered a back injury during the fifth Sydney Test. and had not bowled during the second innings. In fact, he was not picked for the T20I series as well, while Mohammed Shami was. Earlier, as reported by the Times of India, Bumrah reached Bengaluru on Monday, to have fresh scans on his back.
Now, as per the results of those scans, he could be included/ left out of the Indian squad for the Champions Trophy. “Bumrah has been told to off-load for five weeks after he won’t be available for the first two ODIs against England. We are waiting on his fitness and will know his status in early February from the medical team.

“We’ll probably find out a bit more around that time, what exactly, and with regards to what his medical condition is, I’m sure BCCI might just put something out, from the physio itself,” Agarkar had said.
