Η Ινδία θα παίξει στο τελευταίο της παιχνίδι στο Trophy Trophy Trophy Trophy Trophy της Νέας Ζηλανδίας κατά της Νέας Ζηλανδίας
The India Cricket Team has already secured their spot in the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy. As a result, they don’t need to take any extra risk in their last remaining group stage match against New Zealand. Former England pacer Darren Gough has claimed that India should rest Shami as a means of precaution. Instead, he suggested that India could play an extra pacer given the slow and turning conditions of the Dubai pitch.
Mohammed Shami was on fire against Bangladesh where he bagged a fifer. But he was not the same against Pakistan. Shami picked up an ankle injury early on his spell and walked back to the dressing room to get treatment. He returned later on, bowled 8 overs, and gave away 43 runs without a single scalp.

Play an extra spinner against New Zealand
Darren Gough suggested it would be best to give him rest and not risk an injury in their next game. After the IND vs PAK clash, Shreyas Iyer too informed in the press conference that Shami was fine. Gough was prudent in suggesting that India should use an extra spinner given the pitch conditions.
“They probably should rest him. They’ve got the confidence against Pakistan. When you’ve got a batting lineup like that, you can afford to bring someone else in; bring another spinner in Dubai,” Gough told Hindustan Times.

Gough claimed that the pitch in Dubai is not as flat as that of Lahore. He also suggested that since Hardik Pandya is also bowling well there is no harm in resting Shami. He further added that India is one of the favorites for the tournament as they have a very strong squad and have been brilliant thus far in the tournament.
“The pitch is not as flat as in Lahore, so you can bring another spinner. We saw Hardik Pandya bowling brilliantly, so I would expect India to rest him. India look very strong, I’m not going to lie. They looked very strong in the ODIs against England and started off with two terrific performances (in Champions Trophy). South Africa and New Zealand look pretty strong and solid. (New Zealand) are without Boult and Southee, and Lockie Ferguson as well, so when you got those three out, I thought we couldn’t be too sure about New Zealand, but they have started pretty well,” Gough concluded.
