Αυτό το περιστατικό συνέβη στο Haydarabada, καθώς η SRH θα παραμείνει μία εβδομάδα στην βάση του για αγώνες εναντίον των Titans Gujarat και Penjab Kings.
Stardom is fickle. For all the adoration a celebrity gets, the negatives often outweigh them. Travis Head just witnessed the bad side of it. When he’s flogging bowlers left, right, and center in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the crowd loves him. They chant his name. You see memes about his excellence. That bad thing is when fans mob him.
Travis Head unhappy with privacy invasion
Head has been to India before and knows how rabid cricket fans can get. But the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) took his chance and went to the supermarket for shopping alone. Within minutes, people crowded him. Fans asked for selfies, but Head politely declined.
Any normal person would leave him alone. But one ‘supposed’ fan started following him, recording him and pleading for a selfie. “This I don’t understand. We all Hyderabadis love you, sir; you have to give some response,” he said to Head. The same person then turns to someone else and says, “He’s showing too much attitude.”

This isn’t the first time fans have crossed the line. Last year two SRH players, Heinrich Klaasen and Jaydev Unadkat, were mobbed by hundreds of people in a mall. The situation isn’t great to watch, and Klaasen was visibly distressed.
The infamous Virat Kohli incident
Both of these incidents are major intrusions of privacy. But fans don’t seem to realise it. The incident, however, is what happened to Virat Kohli in 2022. On a tour to Australia, someone entered Kohli’s room and shared his belongings online. The star cricketer was furious about the situation and took to social media to shame those who did so.
“I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them, and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling, and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment,” Kohli had written.
